Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be vegan to join?
Not at all! Everyone is welcome. The recipes are plant-based and high-raw, but you don’t need to be fully vegan to enjoy them.
What if I’ve never done mindful eating before?
No experience needed. You’ll be gently guided through each step — it’s easy, relaxing, and enjoyable for all levels.
What equipment will I need?
Just the basics: a chopping board, knife, spoon, and bowl. Occasionally, a blender or food processor is needed for smoothies/dips. We’ll send you a short list in advance.
What happens next after payment?
After payment, which can take up to a few days, you will receive confirmation with ingredients list and instructions for Munch-prep, and then we will Munch-make on the day.
Do you offer refunds?
No, unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds as all proceeds go directly to support our non-profit AfriLife M.I.N.D.
Do you consider nutritional requirements?
Yes, all our recipes will be gluten-free, although they could contain a very small amount of nuts; there will always be alternatives. If you are in doubt about anything, please consult a medical professional.
What if I can’t make it one week?
Please let us know in advance. You can transfer your spot to another Saturday (up to 2 hours before), or receive the recording of the day.
Are the recipes child- or family-friendly?
Yes! Most recipes are simple and fun for families to try together. Kids can easily join in for chopping, mixing, or tasting.
How many people are in each session?
We keep groups cosy and interactive — usually around 8–20 participants. Enough for community vibes, small enough for connection.
Where does my contribution go?
As mentioned, all proceeds support our non-profit AfriLife M.I.N.D., funding community programmes in nutrition, movement, and mindfulness. By joining, you’re nourishing yourself and giving back.
